FAQ

What is Cado?

A songwriting space for anyone with an idea and the drive to make it real. No DAW or gear required.

Do I need music experience?

Nope. If you can hear it, you can make it here.

Are these sounds AI-generated?

No. They're royalty-free, human-made samples. AI is opt-in, so you're always in control.

How is Cado different?

Most tools are built for producers. Cado is built for songwriters.

How much does it cost?

Start free. Go Pro for downloads and a commercial license.

What's the difference between a free and a paid Cado plan?

On the free plan you can create songs and share them inside Cado — 5 projects a month, plus 5 vocal generations and 5 vocal transformations a month.

Cado Pro raises that to unlimited projects and 25 vocal generations and transformations a month, and it's the plan that lets you download your songs and release them anywhere outside Cado. Monthly allowances don't carry over.

What happens if I cancel my paid plan?

You keep your Pro benefits until the end of the billing period, then move back to the free plan. Nothing you've already made is deleted.

If you're over the free plan's 5-project limit you won't be able to start new songs until you're back under it.

Do I own the music I create with Cado? Can I release it commercially?

Your song is yours. Finish a track on a paid plan and you get a license covering the sounds you used, along with a document listing exactly what's cleared — enough to release commercially on streaming, social, and beyond.

Lyrics you write and any voices you record or add sit outside that license. As long as what you bring is yours to use, you're free to release and share your music.

Can I publish the songs I make with Cado on YouTube, Spotify, and TikTok?

Yes. Songs made on a paid plan come with a license and a document showing what's cleared, which protects you against content ID and copyright claims tied to those sounds.

Anything you add yourself — lyrics, a recorded voice — isn't covered, so make sure you have the right to use it. If you ever hit a flag or a claim, contact support and we'll help you sort it out.
